I know driving irons look cooler in the bag and feel nicer to some players but they re a lot.

Compared to standard irons driving irons generally have a bulkier back of the club which adds more weight to the swing and the ability reach further distances off the tee. If i m looking for the ultimate safety tee shot my 4 iron is the club i use off the tee. 3 the tmb is a great iron but probably not for me.

First off if hybrids are easier for you to hit why would you prefer to play a driving iron. 224 yards carry of the tee. Hybrid and driving iron have almost identical values with approx. I can still flight my hybrids down a bit and could do it much better with the tmb but from a consistency of shot perspective i dont feel the value of a 220 yard shot off of the tee can replace the versatility of the hybrid in my bag.

For this test i hit 30 shots with my 4 iron and driver. Hybrid off the tee on par threes and for safety if you are an avid golfer there is a good chance that at least one or two hybrid clubs already reside in your bag. A driving iron or utility iron is a traditionally a low degree iron that is used off the tee block in order to hit the ball a great distance. Probably the driving iron will be a good 10m longer overall even though the clubhead and ball speed is lower.

While you still use a tee most golfers prefer to have it just off the ground enough so that you make contact with the center of the club without having to go too deep into the ground. They are different than hybrid golf clubs which are the combination of a fairway wood and an iron clubface. Off the tee a hybrid can be treated like an iron. And for good reason hybrids are extremely versatile easy to hit golf clubs that have replaced long irons in the bags of many amateur golfers.
